Four Pillar Business Seminars are offered to motivated business owners that are ready to take their business to new levels.  Business owners with a passion for their business and their craft, that want to build greater success.  Four Pillar Seminars are based on the Four Pillars of Business Success presented in Bizology.Biz.

advantage marketing communications is a national marketing communications firm serving the industrial business-to-business sector. Jennifer Hennion is the President of advantage and has been with the company since 1996.  Hands on with clients and the media, she places a huge emphasis on customer service and value.  Hennion has her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Elizabethtown College, a Master’s Degree in Media Studies from William Paterson University and has also completed coursework towards a Ph.D in Media Studies at Rutgers University. 

Jennifter will discuss convergence marketing and how you can select the best media to reach your target markets.  With more and more options available today, it is critical to use multiple forms  of media to garner the greatest success.

Pillar #3: Operational Plans:  Basic Bookkeeping That You Must Know For Your Business Success

Keeping Track of the money should be the fun part of business, but MANY business owners fail to do it well.  Knowing what is coming in and what is going out is essential.  Knowing how to keep your records for building success helps to keep your business on track.

Judith Frank, owner of Frank's Bookkeeping Services and long-time resident of Roxbury, NJ has been a full charge bookkeeper for over 25 years.

Judith has held positions in:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Billing
  • Costing
  • Receivable and Collections
  • General Ledger Recording
  • Payroll

Judith left bookkeeping for a short, seven year period to administer the payroll of over 1200 people.  When she returned to bookkeeping personal computers had moved the profession to part-time status.  She started back working for two clients and soon had multiple accounts.  Over the last dozen years she has done bookkeeping for many small businesses.   Her accounting software experience includes:  One Write Plus; PeachTree; QuickBooks; MYOB.  She has been a QuickBooks Pro Advisor since 1999.

Her client list continued to grow...enough, so that in October 2008 Franks Bookkeeping Services was formed.  Judi still travels weekly to several client sites and has a staff back at the office, that works with clients who prefer to use internet-based remote access to Quickbooks, the regular mail or pick-up/drop-off instead.

Anne Blaine, Operations:  Strategies for Growing Your Business Wealth to Support Your Future

Anne Blaine has been a financial professional with New York Life for 4 years. She graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Since 1845 New York Life has served the insurance and financial needs of individuals, families, and businesses.  New York Life is a Fortune 100 Mutual Company. 

Anne’s past experiences include another Fortune 100 company where she worked with credit and collections, accounts receivable, and project management.  She also managed the accounts receivable department for a payroll company during their transition of the department to another state.  Anne implemented new processes which reduced uncollectibles and streamlined risk management. The event is hosted at the beautiful Inn at Millrace Pond in Hope, New Jersey.  The Inn  at Millrace is an elegant, historic Bed and Breakfast and Conference Center.  The grounds are lovely to walk around on, the food is incredible and the meeting area is highly conducive to powerful work and learning.

As an added benefit of the Business Seminar, Inn Manager Laura Cosmillo-Giordano will provide us with information about using the Inn for meetings, social gatherings and events.  A tour of the grounds and conference center will also be on our agenda as well as a wonderful sampling of the food at lunch.
